It isn't what he meant, but I'm just really in love with the idea of using the word "gimmicky" as a synonym for "black" when it comes to politicians. It's sleeper-mean...a little bit like calling uninspired art "derivative."

There's already a euphemism for every minority: "diverse". Just the fact that Obama grew up in Hawaii is a problem. That's like a different country to most Americans. I want him to become president partially to hear all the racist things that people will say once he's in office. It's guaranteed entertainment for 4 years.
i like saying that i don't like something because it's too "urban" It's not as subtle as "gimmicky" but it gets the job done nicely.
